Well, if you DO happen to know this feeling; if you HAVE experienced this ‘inner unrest’, and if, by chance, you are experiencing it at THIS very moment then: CONGRATULATIONS! And welcome to the Human Experience on Planet Earth!

We are all on a unique Journey of The Soul—an eternal journey of growth and expansion; a journey of Ever-Expanding Good.

This “inner unrest” is a call from the depths of our Being—it is our Authentic Self beginning to wake up. It is, in essence, the calling of our own SOUL asking for our immediate attention. It is a gentle reminder that beyond what we may be experiencing in our present moment, there is much more in us waiting to be experienced and expressed.

This “inner unrest” is our Diving Light asking to shine even brighter through each of us… it is our Creative Genius tugging at our inner sleeves asking to be let free so it may show It’s Brilliance in all it’s Divine Colors. This ‘inner unrest’ is our Inner Splendor asking to come out and play with us and with the rest of the world! The calling of our  Soul is asking for us to Open The Gates of Our Hearts so that we may let the music of our unique song play for all to hear. This “inner unrest” is simply our Soul getting antsy with anticipation to be let free, asking to be allowed forth so it may express itself more fully and completely as our very own lives. 

And so naturally, the question becomes:

Q: How exactly are we to allow our Soul to express more fully and completely?

A: The answer to this question (and to every question) is found within our own being. The answer is within us, at this very moment. We must simply ASK and LISTEN for the answer to emerge.

Q: Okay, well how are we supposed to hear anything when there is so much noise, you may say.

A: And the answer to this question is simple. Practice silencing your mind.

Q: How do I silence my mind?

A: Through a meditative practice.

Q: Why is that important?

A: Because when we step out of The Noise and step Into The Sacred Silence within our being, we are able to hear the subtle voice of our Soul speaking to us, guiding us and directing us.

As The Great Deepak Chopra reminds us:

“You have within you a wise voice guiding you to express the highest aspects of your nature. Listen to this inner still voice, which is guiding you to manifest your full potential. Quiet the internal turbulence that is filled with the voices of others so you can identify the sound of our your own soul. It has only one desire–for you to remember your essential nature as a spark of the divine.”

Our Individual Wings and the Instructions for our Unique Flight lie within each and every single one of us. This “inner unrest” is a gentle wake up call inviting us to go inward… inviting us to ask evolutionary questions… and inviting us to LISTEN to the voice of our own Soul… It is This Divine Guidance that leads the way as each of us takes Flight Into Our Very Own Greatness.

What an honor to be alive on this great day in the history of the World… it has been such a long time coming and what an honor it is to witness this shift in tides… a powerful shift from fear to hope… from uncertainty to possibility… from blame to personal responsibility…. from divisiveness to unity…. from dispair to belief… from massive disenfranchisement to massive engagement… from separateness towards wholeness… from primitive thinking to evolutionary thinking… from a history of pain to a future of promise, growth and collective movement… wow! What an AWESOME day to be alive. We actually have a REAL leader to lead us into the future… how exciting! How refreshing! How inspiring…

I’ve always believed that we are each destined for greatness when we arrive in this world… and it’s up to each of us to nurture that greatness in our selves, nurture that greatness in our children and nurture that greatness in each other…. President Obama has emerged in our lifetime as yet another great man in history that has done exactly that and now stands tall as the president of the United States of America… wow… what a brilliant example of what it means to be a leader, a man of integrity, a man of honor, a man of diligence, a man of intelligence, a man of vision and a man of unwavering hope in possibility for positive change as a united country, as a united people and as a united world… 

Mr. Obama, this true leader, has inspired each of us to connect with our greater selves… to connect with our own significance as individuals, to remember our own worth as human beings and to own our own responsibility to make positive changes in our lives… He remind us that WE are the ones who create change and that it happens from the inside out…

What I love about this man and what he represents is… well, a whole a lot!… but one thing that comes through so clearly is the reminder that we each actually matter… every single one of us is important and everything we do counts in this big big world… as tiny as we sometime make ourselves to be, there is no question that our individual influence is bigger than anything we can possibly imagine…

President Obama, this brilliant leader, has sparked in my heart something I have always known to be true but never quite found a way to articulate it… and I wasn’t quite sure how it would come to life during my lifetime and yet here we are today in 2008 and it is absolutely here… bigger and better than I could’ve ever imagined… Wow… what a great moment in time… this vision, this knowing that I’ve had deep within myself and that I know I share with many others,  is a strong belief that ONE person ABSOLUTELY CAN make a BIG BIG difference in the world… and that the positive ripple effect of who we are and who we CHOOSE to BE is endless… far reaching into depths that we may not currently be able to see with our eyes, but we can absolutely feel with our hearts… a ripple effect from generation to generation to generation and from country to country to country… an never ending stream of pure positive energy… wow! What an exciting time to be alive.

President Obama reminds us that the human spirit is awake and alive within each of us and no matter how bad things seem to be at any moment in time … there is ALWAYS a better way… there is ALWAYS hope and there is ALWAYS someone who is WILLING TO BE THE CHANGE in the world… and THAT someone inspires ANOTHER someone and another someone until pretty soon the human spirit is once again awakened and alive and is moving through each of us inspiring us to embrace possibility as we continue to achieve a higher level greatness as human beings on this planet.

A true world leader has emerged and it is such an honor to witness this moment in time as the world rejoices and experiences the beauty of life in a way that we’ve never seen before… wow… what an AMAZING moment for all of us… I’m SO proud to know that my kids will be born into a world that honors the beauty of the collective human spirit…what an exciting time to be alive… 

We get to celebrate a new president who offers a profound departure from previous presidents… and in addition to the difference in ethnic makeup—which is monumentous in itself from a historical perspective, and one that is refreshing given that our president is a true representation of the fabric of America and the composition of our world—what I admire most about this leader and what I believe makes President Obama TRULY DISTINGUISHED is WHO HE IS as a HUMAN BEING…

What makes President Obama absolutely mesmerizing is WHAT HE STANDS FOR and WHAT HIS MESSAGE to the world is… in my opinion, what makes President Obama so incredibly inspiring is his UNWEAVERING COMMITTMENT to a vision of hope for the GREATER GOOD and a reliance on people to hold that vision and move it forward together… what makes Mr. Obama such an admired man is his impeccable record of accomplishment, his dedication to service, his history of right action and his undeniable competence as a leader and a citizen of the world whose heart and soul have always been in the right place: 100% motivated by the uplifitment of humanity… wow… what a great man and what a great time to be alive.

What makes Barack Obama a TRUE LEADER is his rare ability to lead from the heart and INSPIRE GREATNESS within each of us as he holds firmly his connection with his OWN greatness and leads through the clarity of his example… what makes this man so special is that, rare as it may be, he ACTUALLY LIVES the ideals we learned from Ghandi when this great leader in history called forth that we each take personal responsibility for ourselves and for our world:

“Be the change you want to see in the world…” -Mahatma Ghandi

President Obama IS that change…and through the clarity of his example, he reminds us that great things happen when we lead alongside one another and when we each take responsibility to BE the change we seek in our world…

The Honorable Barack Obama is such an elegant example of what is possible and it’s just an honor to be alive to share this moment with the rest of the world. It’s so inspiring to have such an example of triumph… and example that reminds us of our own ability to change our selves, change our lives and change our world for the better.

When we are open to change and when we are open to possibility and when we manage to hold on to our internal vision despite our external realities, we can ABSOLUTELY begin shifting the tides towards a brighter and more inspiring future for ourselves, for our children and for generations and generations to come…. what an incredible day for all of humanity… 

I am absolutely overjoyed and so incredibly grateful to be alive!

Life is awesome and getting better and better everyday…

While millions of people are filled with fear, anxiety and nervousness around what is happening in the economic climate, there are tons of people totally thriving and living a life of choice, joy, abundance and absolute empowerment. I happen to be apart of this thriving group which I am SO grateful about!  As part of my work, I am learning and seeing evidence every single day that we are absolutely in control of our own destiny and we are absoltuely in control of our future… we create the certainty in our lives and we absolutely shape our life experience… everyone deserves to awaken to this reality in their lives.

It’s so unpleasant to live a life filled with fear, anxiety and nervousness around not knowing what’s coming next or how things will unfold or what the future holds—this is most people’s realities which is totally sad and I wish that wasn’t the case for so many people… but it’s not EVERYONE’S reality… there ARE tons of people thriving, winning, shining, happy, peaceful and empowered all around the world… so why is that??? Did they inherit riches so they don’t have to worry about anything?! No— well maybe a very very small percentage of thrivers may actually have inherited something–but that’s not who I’m talking about. I’m talking about the thousands of ordinary people who have CHOSEN to thrive and have CHOSEN to live a life of empowerment and joy…

So who are these people and how are they doing it? What do these thriving individuals have that the millions of disempowered people don’t???

Well simple:

1. They have decided that working for someone else and being at the mercy of external circumstances is definitely not an option and never will be so this means they are entrepreneurial.

2. They have big dreams and have committed to reaching those dreams no matter what.

3. They are thinking outside of the box and are willing to do what most people are not willing to do: take their life in their own hands and be responsible for their results.

4. They invest in themselves personally and buy assets that yield them passive income for life.

5. They make bold moves in their lives and operate from a place of vision, possibility and knowingness instead of operating from conditioned patterns of fear, anxiety and uncertainty-this is huge.

6. They do what all successful and thriving individuals do: implement universal success principles in their business and life.

7. They start and grow their own business and systemize it in order to leverage their time.

8. They surround themselves with others who are on the same path to freedom, working within a positive and supportive environment that encourages growth and creativity while inspiring peace and prosperity. 

9. These thriving individuals learn from masters who have come before them. And instead of feeling like life is happening “to them” or feeling like they are at the “effect” of all the external circumstance in their life, feeling disempowered, these thriving and happy individuals know without a shadow of a doubt that they are absolutely bigger then their current circumstance and live from that place of power and control.

10. Thriving individuals absolutely know that they are the creator of their own experience so they chose to have control over their external reality by tapping into the internal power of the mind in order to create desired results from the inside out.

This afternoon as I sat on the last rock of Manhattan enjoying a beautiful sunny day with the breeze flowing, the river water rippling in my direction, ducks floating on the lake, trees swaying, leaves existing on tree branches so beautiful and free… I realized how simple nature is, how beautiful our natural environment is and how ABSOLUTELY EFFORTLESS the existence of our trees appears to be… just how EFFORTLESS a bird glides in the wind, how EFFORTLESS the river moves in its organic flow, how absolutely effortless our trees stand in perfection… at that moment I thought “wow! there might be something we can learn from our natural friends around the true nature of success and abundance… the underlying truth to experiencing inner peace and joy while on planet earth… our natural friends sure seem to have SOMETHING figured out…”

Everything flows so beautifully and naturally in nature, there’s seems to be such a divine order to our world and yet sometimes, as human beings, we choose to struggle when our natural source is one of love, one of light, one of beauty and one of pure positive goodness… it just dawned on me today just how EFFORTLESS life can be… I felt so much lighter and freer and livelier after my lesson in the park today and feel an immense sense of gratitude for this lesson in effortless living…

I always feel so inspired just being in the presence of nature… I have to say that trees are one of my greatest mentors because they teach through the clarity of their example: they are so powerful, so vibrant, so alive… they are totally calm, completely peaceful, absolutely beautiful and in a total state of inner tranquility and absolute thrivingness… they always look so happy, so settled in who they are, so content with their current situation, so rooted in their own greatness… it feels like we can learn something from our tress… they always seem to be enjoying every ounce of sunlight that is bestowed upon them, every movement of the wind, every ounce of water that falls on their footsteps… they appear to welcome any interaction with other human friends… they are so present in their moments, they are so present with who they, they probably totally know their immense value to our planet and therefore give themselves permission to express their greatness every moment of their lives… what if we took one ounce of that and lived from such a place of beauty and expression in our own lives?

I certainly choose to be more deliberate in my approach to my every moment taking our trees as wonderful guides and teachers after this awesome lesson in the park today…

Our trees are some of the most peaceful living beings on the planet and seem to exist and thrive so effortlessly… might there be something to learn about human nature and the nature of thriving by admiring our trees and other natural beings??? I certainly think so I totally encourage anyone who is interested in inner peace and guidance to spend some time just being around trees… be with them, admire them, feel their power and see what comes up for you!

Well if you’re anything like me, whenever I used to experienced any uncomfortable feeling in my tummy or in my heart, I would suddenly be doubly concerned! I’d be worried about the thing that was causing this icky feeling AND then I’d be frustrated because I had an icky feeling! that’s a no win situation! now that I know better, I can simply relax and interpret any discomfort that comes up easily and lightly…

I have come to understand that the our emotions are our own personalized compass, how cool is that? I now see my emotions as my best friend: I can always count on them to let me know which way to go… this emotional guidance system that we all have (our feelings) let us know at every moment in time whether we are in alignment with our true desires or whether we’re a bit off course… positive emotion (feeling good) is an indicator that we’re on our path, that we’re on track and that we’re in the direction that’s right for us, we’re in line with our desires… yay! negative emotion (feeling bad) only means we’re slightly off course, maybe we’re focusing on the opposite of our true desire and pointing slightly away from what we really want… good to know! now we can do something about that.

Whether we’re on track or slightly off course, either way the communication from within is awesome!!! Realizing that any uncomfortable feeling simply means I’m choosing to focus on something that is not in alignment with what I really want is great information! once I’m aware of that, I can do something about it. I can course-correct and get back on track! that’s exciting.

Once I got that my next question was: well, how can I get back on track when I’m feeling crumby? for me it’s been practicing “moving up the emotional scale” as Abraham-Hicks calls it… I get to gradually bring myself back into alignment one thought a time… one good-feeling thought at a time… choosing thoughts that feel slightly better always bring a sense of relief and then I know I’m on my way back into alignment. The easiest way to get back on track that I have found is to deliberately look for things to feel good about around me, maybe turning on my favorite song or reading an inspiring book or going for a walk or being in nature… whatever I can do to feel good, I’ll go do that and little by little I can sense that I’m beginning to feel better and better and then I get excited because the better I feel the more on track I am and it motivates me to do more things that feel good to be even more on track! it becomes a very exciting practice! I absolutely love this process– it’s really fun to do and it works like a charm, every single time… Try it! it’s fun!

This something is the energy force that creates the trees and the flowers and the birds and us!!! it’s pure positive energy flowing around us and through us… it hasn’t been until recently that I’ve awakened to the idea that this same energy that creates worlds is actually seeking expression through me and you and our loved ones and our neighbors… it’s source energy seeking to express itself through each of us in our unique and special ways…

Maybe this is where “our calling” or “our purpose” comes from… a powerful pull that calls us towards being our biggest and brightest selves… a calling to allow our gifts and talents and passions forth… a calling to BE the powerful beings we came forth to be… a calling that is asking for us to get out of the way and and allow our greatness to unfold as its meant to…

This is one of the most beautiful concepts I have awakened to so far in my own journey so I wanted to share it with those who may be feeling this pulling energy in their own lives…

I’m begining to understand that once we give ourselves permission to allow our greatness to unfold, that’s the moment when we begin to see our own gifts and talents pouring into the world for the benefit of all… what a beautiful thing…
